A bold move, just for a change

Everyone's always been telling me to never cut my hair. I guess it's because it looked really nice, long and healthy? Not really sure. Well, i've had long hair for around 5 years now, ever since the end of  my 3rd year high school (2008). Before, i was always the girl with short hair, just 'cause i didn't know how to take care of my hair (Well, i was just too lazy to brush my hair everyday. Haa!). But before 2013, i thought of chopping all of my hair again, just for a change.

I wasn't going to take a pic of my chopped off hair, but when
i saw how much of my hair was on the floor, i just had to. Haa!

Honestly, i'm not a big fan of my hair right now. I'm a bit bothered with how the hairstylist didn't cut it the way i wanted it to look like. I mean seriously, the hairstylist just kept chopping off a bunch of pieces off my hair! I even had to remind her that i wanted layers, but she ended up not doing it anyway. Ugh. *insert more onomatopoeic words that shows annoyance here* Oh well, i'll probably layer it a bit once it starts to grow a bit longer. Don't get me wrong though, i do like my hair! It's a new look, new style. I like it, but i don't love it yet. It'll probably take a while before i start to get used to it.

More pics on my Tumblr page:

Hopefully this bold move of mine, to go for a totally new look for the new year, would show how i'm up for new things! Hopefully exciting things would happen to me in 2013. Bring on the changes! Bring on the fun!

Cheers,
Tep

All you need to know about my personal blog posts

I don't really have much to do lately. I've been having the same routine every single day. It seriously gets tiring after a while. Like seriously. So i've decided to blog more often now. Haa! Just to be more productive with my time.

Well, i've only recently started using this account again in posting blog posts. This account was used before so that i could rant about my problems and heart aches. But now, i've decided to focus on blogging here instead of blogging on my Tumblr account. I guess i just want to use my Tumblr in posting pictures instead of blog posts for now. So, to read a few of my old blog posts, here is a link to my personal past posts on my Tumblr account:

http://stpneee.tumblr.com/tagged/me/

Chyeahh, good night y'all.
Tep.

My New Year's Resolutions

Some of the things i want to do when the new year has started:

- Be more productive.
- Eat more healthy food. (But of course i won't deprive myself of all my favourite snacks. I just need to control myself more. Haa. )
- Start exercising more. (At least 3 times a week)
- Start studying more often.
- Read good books.
- Be able to save a lot of money
- Learn to open up more to people.
- But still be selfless.

First of all, I want to focus on being more productive just because i haven't been productive for the last couple of months. I've been thinking that maybe if i start doing more productive things, i'll be able to gain more experiences and have more variety in my everyday routine. Plus, it's not a secret to any of my friends and family that i'm a lazy person. So with that being said, i'm seriously going to focus on changing my couch potato attitude.
Next, i want to pay more attention on how i've been eating. I eat a lot, and i eat fast. Those are two things which are technically not good for your health. I've actually been eating healthy lately (eating more vegetables and drinking more water), so i'm focusing on just eating more healthy food next year. Also, i seriously need to exercise more! It's actually fun to exercise, it relieves stress when you're going through a lot. So i'm excited about the idea of exercising more often. The only question is, can i do it? Haa!
Moving on to the "study more often" part of my new year's resolution. Well i'm actually very excited about this idea! I've been so eager to actually start studying and to read more things lately. I guess it's also because i'm eager to take control of my future already. I want to be successful one day. And to add up to that, i'm excited to show my parents that i can be a smarty pants as well. Haa! I want them to be proud of me.
Oh and next year, i definitely need to save up a lot of money. Gosh, i'm eager to buy all the things we need, and i'm also eager to buy a ticket back home. It's been years, i tell yah! Far too long. I need to spend a couple of weeks back in my hometown. That's my motivation to spend less on things i only want, and actually spend my money wisely on things i really need.
Lastly, i definitely need to open up more to people. Honestly, i never like opening up topics about myself, even to people i'm already comfortable with. I only share things about myself when people ask me questions. It's not so much of a bad thing, i reckon. However, i can sometimes be misunderstood, since they don't know much about what's been going on with me lately. I'm the type to smile a lot and laugh a lot. I'm the bubbly type, as my friends describe me. I mostly think about them and would think of how to help them with things their going through. I'm happy about that actually. Being selfless brings me happiness sometime. But i need to stop thinking about them sometimes and actually start thinking about myself. I need to start doing things that makes me happy as well. I should fight for what i want and need as well, so i can be genuinely happy.

Well fingers crossed that i'll be able to do every single one of the things i've listed down. Think posititive Steph! You can do it. Haa!

I'm so cheesy for adding this song. But yes I'm On My Way. Haha!
Plus, i love them! So i gotta share this song.

From the bottom of my heart, thank You.

"Wow." That’s the first word that comes into mind when i think of 2012. Unfortunately that’s the best i can do since my mind struggles to find the perfect word to summarise and describe how this year has been for me. Well, i guess one word isn’t enough? Because this year has been full of variety, full of excitement and full of changes for me.
Let's take a glimpse of a few memories i've had in 2012...
I started this year entering an unexpected relationship, making me forget about past pains. But as i have expected from the very beginning, we weren’t going to last. 'Till now, i can honestly say i have no regrets. He helped me enter this year with a smile on my face after all. Well i started my year with a smile and i’m ending this year with laughter and exploding joy! Seriously, being able to experience awesome night outs, with both close friends and new friends, probably made my year. I got my lazy arse to get out and have fun this year! From awesome small parties to chilled get togethers at bars, nothing can top all those unexpected events! I experienced riding a freakin' limo as well! How sick was that?! And shortly after that, i was able to talk and become friends with a past lover. That's one memory i'll probably be thankful for since he was and is a special person in my life. Okay to liven up the mood, i should probably mention that we got to TRAVEL TO PARIS! I even turned 18 there. Yeah, i’m pretty proud and happy about it. Haa! It was such a dream come true. You know that feeling where you rub your eyes thinking twice whether it’s a dream or reality? Yeah, i had that feeling a couple of times when we were up there. Up to now actually, it’s bizarre how dreams can come true. After that, my closest friends and i traveled to Sylt, giving me such beautiful memories as i've seen another side of Germany while being with 3 of the most awesome peeps on earth! Have you ever swam in the ocean when it's 12°C - 15°C cold? Chyeahh, i was able to do so! It was so cool! Like literally. Haa. Then we had to start packing 'cause at the end of August, we were scheduled to leave Germany for good and move to Singapore. It was fun in the beginning 'cause i got to hang out with new friends and experience different things. Also, my sister and i were able to hold a simple farewell get together with friends. Well, scratch that! It wasn't a simple get together at all, but a wild and crazy one! And lemme tell you, i had a blast! Despite all the other things we had to take care of (cops, wasted people, parents, etc.) Our last remaining weeks in Germany couldn't have been great if it weren't for our amazing friends. I love them to bits! And with that being said, we certainly left Germany with a huge smile on our faces.
Well here we are now, we're in Singapore. Since arriving here we were able to experience a few things we thought would never happen! From watching the Azkals win a match (plus getting to see the ever so hot James Younghusband. Hihi.), to watching the ASAP concert live here in Singapore! Gosh, i never thought i would be able to see some of my favourite celebrities! It was a wicked night for us, we left with half our voices gone because of too much screaming and spazzing. Haa! And just recently, we celebrated our first ever Christmas in Singapore.
So many has happened. So many memories to reminisce over. So many lessons learned. So many moments i am forever thankful for.
Thanks 2012, for being so good to me. And thank You for all the blessings i've received this year. Cheers to the remaining days of 2012, and to the year to come! I can't wait to see what He has in store for me and my family in 2013.

Few of the many memories captured on camera.

Embassy Christmas party in Singapore

Here in this picture is my mom, my sister, the Ambassador and I. It was our first Embassy Christmas Party here in Singapore. We got to meet other people and see how everyone is like. It's completely different to the Christmas parties we used to have in Berlin.  There are more staff in the Embassy here in Singapore, therefore it was more lively and loud. Overall, this day planted a smile on my face. I had a blast!

Captured in film: Last few memories in Berlin

Last few days in Berlin

Last day in Berlin

These are the new videos my sis and i posted on our youtube. Both are basically about our last days in Berlin. I didn’t get to film much about my last few days, but my sis got to film some fun moments we had before leaving.
My sis and i love editing videos of moments and such because we like to go back and have something to watch or see, just to be able to properly picture how it was back then. Though we have tons of pictures and memories, the most epic and awesome times will just remain in our memories since the best moments can never be captured on camera. Miss everything and everyone back in Berlin, love them heaps.

New adventure, new journey, new life.

We’ve arrived in Singapore around 6 days ago at around 11 in the evening. It was a very long flight, first stopping over at Abu Dhabi and later flying to Singapore. We’re currently staying at a hotel right now, thus the reason why i have wi-fi connection, which allowed me to post another blog post.
We’ve been a little busy lately since we’ve arrived. We first looked for an apartment here in Singapore. We looked at a total of 4 apartments before deciding to take the apartment which is located on the 21st floor. I’m actually excited to live in that apartment because it’s so modern and also the neighbourhood looks very nice. Later that day we went around the city, going around the big shopping malls at Orchard. One very funny moment we had was when we took around 30 minutes just to cross the road. The reason for that is we can’t just simply cross the road as they have underground passage ways to do so. However, there are also big shopping malls and MRT stations located underground, making us walk everywhere just to look for one exit that would lead us to the other side of the road. Oh well, since then we’ve already memorised how to get around the city since we’ve spent a couple of days just walking around.
The next day we visited the embassy to finally meet everyone. All the embassy staff seemed very nice and are very friendly. They happily welcomed us into the place, which actually made me feel at home and thought that it would be nice to see these people often. They gave us a lot of advices on how everything works here and also gave us more information about Singapore.
So far i’m still adjusting to the place. I still miss my friends back in Berlin and would reminisce on the fun times i’ve had there and how life was like back then. However, Singapore really is a beautiful country. People here are nice and i can find a lot of Filipinos, making it seem like i’m back in my hometown. I hope life ahead will be very fun and interesting, and that i hope a lot of good things will happen to me and my family here.

No more furnitures!

August 21st, 2012 Chillin’ on the floor because we have no more furnitures. Took this picture after cleaning the whole apartment. Afterwards, we had to permanently say goodbye. Gosh, it’s so sad leaving. We’ve lived there for almost 3 years now so i obviously will miss the apartment and most specially the neighborhood. 4 days left to go!

House party problems

Taking care of drunk people & having to call guardians to pick them up, dealing with the police, dealing with the parents and the worst is cleaning up all the mess the next morning.
Our chilled farewell get-together turned into a big time party. Oh well, i had a blast still. It was such a mess in the end, but it was still awesome! So happy i got to spend time with everyone before we leave. Less than a week left!

Just venting. Mixed emotions..

9 more days to go! We’re finally done with packing around 27 boxes by ourselves. However, the final packing and loading day would be on Monday. So till then, we’d still have furnitures around the house.
Gosh, so thankful we managed to finish up packing today! I have time to be out the whole weekend and spend time with friends! Concert and party time, oh yeah! I’m really making the most out of my last few days here in Berlin. Honestly, it is very nerve wracking to think we’re actually going to leave soon and start a new life at another place again. New country, new culture, new school, new friends, new life… I can never get used to saying goodbye.. But oh well, that’s life. I’ll deal with it. But i’m also excited in a way. A lot of people have been mentioning how beautiful and amazing Singapore is. Yes, we’re moving to Singapore. That’s why i mentioned that i’ll have to adapt to the new culture. The culture of Singapore will definitely be very different from Germany’s. A couple of days ago, i researched a lot about what life there would be like. I had a nervous breakdown actually.. Okay i was exaggerating a little, but i was very nervous. I cried without intending to. I guess it’s ‘cause i’m scared of what may happen in the future or maybe it’s ‘cause i don’t really want to leave Berlin just yet. Life here has been awesome! I’d hate to leave my friends behind as well. But as i’ve said earlier, i’ll deal with it. On a brighter note, Singapore is just a couple of hours away from the Philippines! So i’m hoping i can at least visit my hometown next year. Fingers crossed i actually will. Haha.
Yeah i just needed to get everything out of my head before i explode from too much thinking and worrying. Will probably blog a bit more in the future before they cut our Internet. Haha. Will rest now since i’m tired ass from packing.

My memory box

My sister and i bought a memory box each because we noticed that we have a lot of special items that we would want to keep in a nice box.
This box contains things that my friends have given me and also things that are generally special to me. The small box inside contains this little mug with my name written on it. I received it from Claire on my first Christmas Party in LUCI. The blue bag contains a perfume that i talked a little bit about on my twitter account, so i won’t further elaborate. The little papers underneath on the left are special receipts and tickets, they could be cinema tickets, memorable tickets from different places in the world and also receipts from memorable moments. The little snoopy jewelry box in the middle contains very special necklaces, rings and pendants from the past. The red one on the corner left contains real silver items that i’ve purchased myself or silver items that were given by close friends. The bracelet on top of it is a chinese good luck bracelet for the year of the dog. I bought this on a special random day when i was with my past boyfriend, cousins and sister after going to a karaoke bar at CSI Mall. It would always be in my bag before, thinking it would give me good luck, that’s why i consider it special. There’s a small whistle that’s beside the snoopy jewelry box, which was from my Majorette days in LUCI. Beside it was a key ring from Blue Magic, which i purchased in Baguio City before when my friends, past boyfriend and i decided to sneak and travel there on a random day just to chill. The heart shaped wood with my name engraved on it was given by my sister.
Beside the small box is a cute Valentine’s Day gift. It was given with a teddy bear but obviously the teddy bear’s too big to be put inside the box, so i just kept that heart shape thing there. The IDs under it are my IDs from my old school, in HK, Aussie and in the Philippines. Under that is a small zip bag that contains special letters that my friends gave me before i left the Philippines. It also contains special love letters that i have kept through out the years. The fake Paul Frank pink bag contains some Philippine money that i apparently have saved up before, and it also contains small papers that contains messages from friends. The pink notebook on the right is a special book where my friends wrote messages in before i left the Philippines last 2009. The teddy bear stick was another gift given by Claire. The little red thing on the corner left of the box is actually a number plate from McDonalds that Sarah kind of stole for me because it had the number 5 on it, which is my fave number. The rolled up letter is a simple paper with original lyrics on it, given by my sister on my birthday. On the corner right are some pictures and a green notebook, which i have kept ever since i was 5 years old. It contains some stories i wrote when i was little.
There are way more things that weren’t mentioned here because it’s not seen anyway. But other things that weren’t mentioned are still very special to me. Hopefully this box will be filled with more memories along the years. I like to take a lot pictures for memories, but having these material things to look at and read and feel would add more to the good times i know i’ve had in the past. So thankful for every memories made in the past, but yes i’ll be making new ones soon..

Sylt, Germany

Three of my closest friends and i traveled to Sylt, a beautiful island in Germany. Carolin's grandma has a house there, and so we decided to go there during the summer break. It was my first time to travel somewhere far without any adults, so it was such an experience for me.

On the way there, we missed our train. We had to wait for the next one, which was also delayed. We ended up having to travel for around 8 hours or less. Upon our arrival, we thought we couldn't get inside the house since the door won't open. We had to ring the neighbor and see whether they can help us. Good thing Nina had the strength to push the door open or else we would be stuck waiting in the cold and rainy weather. It was pretty funny since Isaac, who's all big and strong couldn't open it. Haa! Later that day, we decided to head out to the beach and see how gorgeous it is there. Since we barely see any beach in Germany, we went out there at night time, even though it was still drizzling a bit. My biggest mistake there was that i lost the key when i started jumping and screaming for joy! I was in charge of the key since i had a camera bag with me, where we placed the key. We panicked a little, but inside i was dying of shame and guilt. We already experienced a lot that day and suddenly a mishap just had to happen. Like i said, it was dark and rainy, therefore it was hard to find the key. And to our rescue, Isaac fortunately found they key! I just started crying after that. They all comforted me and told me it's fine, except i shouldn't be in charge of the key next time. Haha! Later that night, we had a frog inside our room! Obviously we panicked a little since it's not really in our best interest to sleep knowing there's  a frog jumping around. We got rid of it after a long 20-30 minutes i think. But yes, that was the end to our long and hectic first day at Sylt.

Overall, we stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights. On the second day, since the weather was better that day, we decided to swim even though it was 12°C - 15°C! Haha! The best idea ever though, we totally had a blast! On our third and last night, we decided to celebrate and go to a bar. Everything was a lot more pricey at Sylt, but spending all our money on our drinks ended our last night there perfectly.

I honestly enjoyed every single minute of this trip. I needed it since i knew my it would be my last out of the town trip before i leave Berlin. So thankful for having friends like them who can make me laugh and smile nonstop. So thankful that i got to have memories such as this with them.

A little video i edited, which we filmed when we were at Sylt.
For memories' sake.

Paris: Day 2, My Birthday!

June 21, 2012.

Turned 18 in Paris! It still seems so surreal. It's totally a dream come true. We visited many places today. We visited Musée de l'Armée, Place de la Concorde, Love Locks bridge, City Sightseeing Bus Tour, Arc de Triumph and the Grand Palais. One pretty awesome surprise is that we managed to bump into 2 of the most well-known celebrities in the Philippines, Rochard Gomez and his wife Lucy Torres, together with their daughter. We were just about the exit the Lourve, when we suddenly saw them.

I couldn't have thought of any other way of spending my 18th birthday. I feel blessed. Thank you mom and dad!

Paris: Day 1

June 20, 2012

I was the first to wake up that day. I woke up at around 3am just so that i can shower, get ready and finalize everything. We left our place at around 5 in the morning and went straight to the airport. Our flight was actually at 8:50am, however we were informed that we had to be there 2 hours earlier. Though we were still very tired, we couldn’t get rid of our excitement and managed to stay awake the whole morning.
We got a little more excited when we got on the plane and started taking a lot of pictures of ourselves and the view out the window. Eventually, i managed to take a little on the plane, as i only had 3 hours of sleep.
Obviously when we got off the plane and got on the taxi, we started smiling and was astound at the view we were seeing. Just from the taxi itself, we can already see the all wonderful buildings of Paris, and of course, the Eiffel Tower as well.
When we arrived at our hotel, we left straight away to go to the Eiffel Tower, which was a few minutes walk from our hotel. However, we decided to stop at a Chinese Restaurant first as we could already hear our stomach rumbling. Afterwards we went to the Eiffel Tower and took pictures.
We later decided to go on a City Sightseeing Bus Tour and paid for a 2 day trip. We got to see everything and learn a little of the famous buildings’ history.
The weather started to become better but warmer. We weren’t dressed properly for that weather in Paris, but though this was the case we still went on and was still motivated to tour around. We stopped at the Notre Dame afterwards and went inside to see the whole of Notre Dame.
We later rested at this beautiful park nearby and later got a few drinks as were already thirsty and tired. We later went back on the bus and stopped at Trocadero, which is a beautiful place with the view of the Eiffel Tower.
We took pictures, ate crêpes and gazed at the beautiful view. Afterwards, we walked back to the Eiffel Tower, then later ended our day with a dinner at a Spanish Restaurant close to our hotel. It was already late when we got back at our hotel, however we could not stop talking about how beautiful Paris is. We later charged all our phones and cameras, ready for the second day of our Paris trip.
